Our trip to MedtecLIVE with T4M

MedtecLIVE with T4M took place from May 3 to 5, 2022, in the grounds of the exhibition and trade fair center Messe Stuttgart. Visitors were able to find out all about products and current trends in medical technology on an area the size of one-and-a-half soccer fields. Guided tours provided additional information on the various conference topics.
In addition to the trade fair booths, visitors were offered a varied lecture program. At the end, we were able to make our own promotional gift on the production line and take it home with us.

Our impression of southern Germany’s medical technology fair

Since it is only 80 km from our office in Ulm to Messe Stuttgart, we enjoyed a short journey to get to the event. In addition to many visitors from all over southern Germany, a large number of international guests had also traveled to the state capital of Baden-Württemberg.

Conversations at the fair covered everything from day-to-day business and the sharing of experiences to specialist topics. It quickly became clear that MedtecLIVE with T4M is right up there with the larger trade fairs in the industry in terms of technical content and personal touch.
In addition to suppliers and users of medical technology, quality managers were also strongly represented. It soon became apparent that successful teamwork between this dynamic duo is of essential importance for companies.

Start-ups were also out in force and were given their own area of the exhibition hall. They were prominent guests during the three-day trade fair program. The participation of such a large number of start-ups confirms our own experience but also the message of MedtecLIVE with T4M: medical technology in southern Germany is highly innovative and alive.

The MedtecLive with T4M exhibitor booths covered the whole gamut of topics

The exhibitor booths form the heart of any trade fair. More than 400 exhibitors offered discussion topics over three full exhibition days, and there was plenty to discover at the booths themselves. Both attendees and exhibitors were quick to strike up discussions and extend networking invitations. Exhibitors happily guided visitors through their products and services, which once again emphasized the wide range of medical technology produced in southern Germany.

Exemplary products from the production line

Even if the first four of the seven steps on the production line may initially have seemed static to outsiders, each step was presented and explained in an informative and transparent manner. In the fifth step, laser engraving, we received a handy screwdriver engraved with our company name.

In the sixth step, the freshly lasered areas were cleaned and passivated again so that the screwdriver could be cleanly packaged in the seventh and final step. The promotional gifts were also able to be packaged during this step – the exhibitor insisted on this.A contact person was available at each of the seven stations, so that interested parties could obtain extensive information about the individual steps and processes.

An opportunity for experts and interested parties to engage in lively discussions

Visitors could follow some interesting discussions in the two lecture areas. We were also able to take the time to attend some lectures. It quickly became clear that decision-makers and players in the region were eager to exchange views on many topics and take the opportunity to engage in lively discussions.

MedtecLIVE with T4M succeeded in putting together an exciting lecture program full of interesting speakers. There were many familiar topics that have dominated the medical technology field for years but also some new perspectives.

It was also thrilling to see such a variety of formats. In addition to extensive lectures, there were short exhibitor presentations as well as interactive discussion panels. There were even some awards ceremonies for young talent and start-ups on the first day of the fair.

Guided tours to learn more

A trade fair always goes hand in hand with a multitude of information and impressions. The exhibition organizer offered guided tours to provide attendees with a more in-depth experience. Our tour was led by four specialized service providers, who covered the various product phases that a medical device must pass through before it is approved for the market. This gave the tour participants an overview of the entire process, from conception to production and finally approval.
A group of almost 30 participants followed the company representatives from booth to booth. The tour made it clear how important cooperation with experienced experts is to the approval process.

Southern Germany is networking at MedtecLIVE with T4M

Despite the challenges of the pandemic, modern technology has made it possible to have face-to-face conversations. However, maintaining relationships in face-to-face meetings was much less complicated and more personal than conducting online meetings. These meetings were the perfect formats for spontaneous, relaxed conversations with open-minded and expert exhibitors.

Retrospective on and outlook for MedtecLIVE with T4M

We will be happy to return next year, when the trade fair will take place in Nuremberg, and we are already looking forward to the developments and trends that medical technology has in store for us in 2023. We hope that the trade fair landscape will continue to recover from the Coronavirus pandemic and that the number of exhibitors will increase noticeably as a result.

This year’s trade fair schedule is not over yet

Can’t wait until next year to see your language experts again? The next opportunity to meet with us in person will be at MEDICA 2022, which is to take place from November 14 to 17, 2022.
