Your Expertise

For a reliable language service provider

Our customers take responsibility for patient and user safety. They expect mt-g to provide materials that are completely safe. mt-g therefore demands the highest linguistic, technical and professional dependability of its translators and expects them to comply with all deadlines. This is why we attach enormous importance to working together in partnership:

  • We favour and encourage long-term working relationships and do not see our translators as arbitrarily interchangeable,
  • we actively support them in using CAT systems,
  • we ensure fair conditions such as reliable payment and
  • we require our project managers to deal respectfully and transparently with all of our suppliers.

FAQs for new translators

Subline FAQs

mt-g prefers to work with freelance translators but agencies which have specialised in a limited number of target languages and in medicine are also welcome. Please apply via the Online Translator Recruitment tool. We are also interested in qualified interpreters and medical writers.

  • Training and/or degree in the field of medicine (nursing staff, doctors, dentists, etc.) with many years of documented experience as a translator or
  • Training and/or degree in the field of natural sciences (biology, chemistry, engineering, medical technology) with many years of documented experience as a translator or
  • Degree in languages and/or translation studies with many years of documented experience in the medical field.

Priority will be given to applications from translators with experience with Trados Studio or Across. Translators who are interested in learning to work with one of the systems are also encouraged to apply – we offer technical support with this.

The application will be checked by our Vendor Management. If we have a need for the applicant's language pair and all the requirements for working together have been met, a brief qualification process will take place (including a test translation, contract management and non-disclosure agreement).
